Waxahachie, TX (Law Firm Newswire) February 29, 2012 – The latest stats show Texas had 2,998 traffic fatalities and an annual economic cost of $19.76 billion due to motor vehicle crashes, according to the Advocates for Highway and Auto Safety. Texas received a “yellow rating” along with 25 other states, which means that the state showed moderately positive performance but there are still efforts that can be done to lessen serious auto accidents.

But with numerous gaps in state laws, the state still has room for improvement.
